Plain-language terms.
Last updated: April 30, 2026
This page describes what you get when you order a website from OkLocally, what you owe in return, and what happens if something goes wrong. We've kept it short and human. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. What we're providing
For $497 USD (one-time payment), OkLocally will:
- Build you a custom website specifically for your business
- Register and pay for your domain (your choice — .com, .net, .co, etc.) for one year
- Host your website and keep it online with a secure (HTTPS) connection for one year
- Deliver a preview within 24 hours of receiving your completed order form
- Provide one free revision after your site goes live
2. Payment
Payment is split: 50% upfront (when you confirm your order) and 50% on delivery (when you've reviewed and approved your site). We use Stripe to process payments. Accepted methods include Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
3. Delivery timeline
We aim to deliver your site within 24 hours of receiving your completed form, including all the information we need (business details, photos if you have them, domain preferences). If we need additional information from you, the 24-hour clock starts when we have everything.
4. Revisions
Your order includes one free revision after your site goes live (typical things: small text edits, swapping a photo, adjusting hours, fixing a typo). Additional revisions are $15 per change. We'll do them within 24 hours.
5. What you own
- The domain is registered in your name. You own it.
- The website code, content, and photos you provided are yours.
- If we shipped your site, the design work transfers to you on full payment.
6. Hosting and domain after the first year
The first year of hosting and your domain registration are included in the $497. After that, you have two options:
- Take over yourself — we'll transfer the domain to your registrar of choice and hand you the website files. Hosting will run roughly $5–10/month at standard providers; domain renewal is roughly $10–15/year for a .com.
- Renew with us — about $25/year covers domain renewal + hosting + minor maintenance. We'll send a renewal reminder a month before.
If you do nothing and don't reply to renewal notices, your site goes offline and your domain may be released. We'll do our best to reach you.
7. Refund policy
You took your free revision and still don't love the result? We'll refund the second 50% you paid. The first 50% covers our design work and your domain registration (which can't be undone), so that part isn't refundable. We don't ghost you; we want you happy.
8. What you commit to
You agree that:
- The information you give us is accurate and yours to share
- Photos you send us are yours or properly licensed
- Your business is real, legal, and operating
- You won't ask us to build something illegal, deceptive, or harmful
9. Limits on our responsibility
We do our best, but we can't guarantee that your website will rank #1 on Google, that traffic will appear instantly, or that every browser version will render every pixel identically. We also can't be responsible for downtime caused by upstream providers (Cloudflare, your domain registry, etc.). Our maximum liability for any issue is limited to the amount you paid us.
10. Changes
We can update these terms occasionally. If we do, we'll change the "last updated" date and, if you're a current customer, email you about anything material. Continued use of our service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
11. Cancellation
You can cancel before we deliver your preview for a full refund of the 50% upfront. Once we've sent you the preview, the design work is done — see the refund policy above.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. If a dispute can't be resolved by us talking it out, it'll be settled in courts located in Texas.
